Are You Our Next Principal in Data Science & Machine Learning?

We’re looking for an exceptional, hands-on Principal – Data Science & Machine Learning to lead the delivery of high-impact AI solutions. You’ll bring deep expertise in machine learning, data science, and production-grade model deployment to tackle complex problems that deliver tangible business outcomes.

This is a strategic, technical, and leadership role. You’ll work directly with clients, shape project direction, and mentor a growing team of talented data scientists and ML engineers. You’ll also have a voice in Codex’s broader AI strategy and innovation roadmap.

What You’ll Do

Technical Leadership & AI Solution Delivery

Design and build machine learning and AI models (e.g., deep learning, NLP, generative AI) tailored to real-world client use cases.

Lead the delivery of LLM-driven applications from prototype through to scalable production deployment.

Refine and scale existing models for improved performance, explainability, and business alignment.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and solve complex data challenges across sectors.

Serve as the senior technical lead on client engagements, setting quality standards for model development and MLOps.

Mentorship & Collaboration

Mentor and support junior data scientists and ML engineers, fostering a high-performing and inclusive learning environment.

Review code and model designs, ensuring scalability, robustness, and alignment with best practices.

Lead internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and promote continuous learning across the team.

Client-Facing Solution Design

Engage directly with clients to understand their goals and design AI solutions that create measurable value.

Translate technical insights into business-friendly language to guide stakeholders and drive buy-in.

Champion ethical AI principles and governance frameworks, ensuring solutions are responsible and trusted.

Model Deployment & Operations

Oversee model deployment into production environments, working closely with MLOps engineers.

Set up monitoring pipelines to detect model drift and ensure ongoing model accuracy and reliability.

Contribute to internal toolkits and frameworks to enhance efficiency and delivery quality.

Innovation & Thought Leadership

Stay current on advances in AI, ML, and data engineering — and apply these to client and internal initiatives.

Drive experimentation with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to maintain Codex’s innovation edge.

Contribute to the Codex voice through blogs, talks, and internal advocacy of responsible AI practices.

What You Bring

Experience

5–8+ years of experience delivering machine learning models in production, with proven impact in real-world applications.

Deep expertise in one or more domains such as predictive analytics, NLP, LLMs, computer vision, or generative AI.

Track record of successfully leading high-complexity data science projects from design to production.

Technical Skills

Expert in Python, with strong skills in ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.

Proficient in SQL and familiar with Java or other backend languages.

Experience with MLOps tools and cloud platforms (e.g., MLFlow, Airflow, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure).

Skilled in data governance, model monitoring, and ethical AI.

Soft Skills & Mindset

Exceptional communicator, able to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
