TECHNICAL MANAGER – COATINGS | CURIOUS MIND MEETS PRACTICAL INNOVATION
Location: Seven Hills | On-site | $130K–$145K + Super | Let’s talk if you’re curious
We’re looking for someone with a sharp technical brain, a love of solving problems, and the mindset to ask, “what if we tried this?”
If you’ve worked with coatings, paints, adhesives, or glass applications, and you’re ready for a role that combines hands-on technical depth with project management and cross-functional collaboration, this might be your next move.
We’re an established Australian manufacturer with over 20 years in the game – but we’re growing fast and thinking boldly. This newly created role reflects where we’re going: smarter systems, better processes, and stronger integration between product, application, and customer value.
Why This Role Is Different
- Shape it – this is a new role, and you’ll help define how it works
- You’ll work across chemistry, engineering, manufacturing, and sales
- A truly open-minded culture – we test, refine, and learn fast
- A high-impact product launch is coming, and this role is central to it
- International travel may be on the table (a couple of times a year)
- Salary between $130K–$145K + super depending on your experience – but if you're outside that and this speaks to you, let's talk
What You'll Do
- Be the technical go-to on coating systems, applications, and troubleshooting
- Bridge the gap between technical ideas and commercial outcomes
- Run and manage technical projects – from application trials to internal improvements
- Collaborate across R&D, production, and commercial teams to optimise performance
- Own documentation, training materials, and hands-on support for internal and external stakeholders
- Help test and guide new product development, from lab to real-world performance
- Ensure compliance and consistency across everything we deliver
What You Bring
You're probably the one who asks “what’s the real problem here?” – and then enjoys digging in to find the answer. You’ve got project coordination or project management skills, but you’re still comfortable getting hands-on with a machine or in the lab. You know how to communicate across disciplines and keep things moving.
We’d love to hear from people with experience in:
- Coatings, paints, adhesives, glass treatment, or similar technical domains
- Application processes – manual, automated, or OEM-based
- Cross-functional teamwork (you’ll work with chemists, engineers, and customers)
- Project delivery – whether formal project management or practical coordination
- Technical support, training, or process optimisation
- Bonus: experience with regulatory or product compliance
You’re someone who gets stuck in, stays curious, and isn’t afraid to ask better questions. This is the kind of environment where initiative is noticed, and where people enjoy their work.
Let’s Start the Conversation
Even if you're not sure you tick every box, that’s okay. If you’re curious, experienced in coatings or related applications, and want to help shape something with impact, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply now
Bring your experience. Bring your ideas. Let’s test what’s possible – and build something better.
