Position 1: Centre Cook – 8-Month Maternity Leave Cover
We are looking for an experienced and organised Centre Cook to join our team for an 8-month maternity leave contract. This vital role ensures our children receive healthy, nutritious, and delicious meals every day. This position has an allocated car park on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and Centre policies
Cater to a variety of dietary needs, allergies, and intolerances
Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment, following all WHS and food safety standards
Manage stock control, ordering and budgeting for food and kitchen supplies
Maintain food safety records and complete daily kitchen checklists, prepare audit documentation
Essential Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a cook in an Early Childhood Service or 5+ years in a similar food handling/service role
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices and WHS legislation
Ability to independently manage all aspects of kitchen operations including menu planning
Mandatory Requirements:
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate – HLTSS00061 or equivalent
Food Safety and Handling Qualifications
Valid Working with Children Check
Full Australian working rights
Position 2: Casual Educator – Minimum 2 Days/Week
We are also seeking enthusiastic and reliable Casual Educators to join our friendly team, working a minimum of two days per week. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to delivering high-quality care and learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Support children’s development and wellbeing in a safe, nurturing environment
Build warm, responsive relationships with children and families
Engage in meaningful play-based learning and contribute to educational programming
Ensure compliance with the National Quality Standards and Centre policies
Work collaboratively with other educators and team members
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care or equivalent (approved qualification)
Sound knowledge of curriculum development and evaluation
Experience working in a team and independently
Understanding of child safety, health, and welfare responsibilities
Mandatory Requirements:
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
Current Working with Children Check
Current Responding to Abuse and Neglect Training (RAN-EC)
Food safety, manual handling and sleep safe training
Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
