Busy Bees at Smithfield Plains is a warm and welcoming 82-place early learning centre where relationships and respectful care are at the heart of everything we do. With a strong commitment to play-based learning and uninterrupted time for discovery, our team works together to create a calm, nurturing, and inclusive space for every child.

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Educator for our Nursery Room to join our supportive team and lead with purpose. Also casual educators who are flexible, passionate, and eager to support children’s growth and development across a variety of shifts.

📅 Position Type: Permanent full time Lead Educator – Nursery Room
💰 Pay Rate: $35.20 – $36.27 per hour (based on qualification and experience)

📅 Position Type: Casual Educator
💰 Pay Rate: $33.50 – $41.30 per hour (based on qualification and experience)

👶 What You’ll Be Doing:

Leading the Nursery Room with confidence and care

Creating and delivering engaging, age-appropriate programs

Supporting routines and developmental milestones for infants

Mentoring and guiding fellow educators

Building positive relationships with families

Ensuring compliance with EYLF, NQS, and centre procedures

✅ What We’re Looking For:

Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA recognised equivalent)

Valid Working with Children Check (SA)

Current First Aid, including asthma and anaphylaxis training

Experience leading a room or team in an early learning setting for the lead educator role

Passion for nurturing infants and helping them feel safe, seen and supported

Strong communication and leadership skills

Commitment to inclusive, respectful and collaborative practices
