About the Role
Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking motivated Casual Student Hub Advisors to provide front-line support for current and former students. This role offers aunique opportunity to contribute to the student experience through responsive service delivery and collaboration with academic and support teams across the Institute.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality customer service via phone, email, web, and in-person enquiries
- Use a case management approach to resolve student queries and escalate where necessary
- Provide general administrative support, including issuing official documents and managing payments
- Help students navigate systems like STRATA, Salesforce, and the MP Portal
- Interpret and communicate relevant policies and procedures
- Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support students with enrolment amendments and referrals to specialist services
Skills and Experience Required
- Relevant tertiary qualification and minimum 5 years' experience in tertiary student administration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated empathy and flexibility
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage challenging behaviours and de-escalate situations
- Well-developed time management skills with a focus on service quality
- Commitment to confidentiality, safety, equity, and continuous improvement
Additional Requirements
Successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A National PoliceCheck
