About the Company
Davidson is proud to be partnering with a prominent organisation committed to innovation and operational excellence in technology services. They are currently seeking an experienced SIAM Asset Manager for an initial 11-month contract to join their Sydney-based team and take ownership of their strategic SACM (Service Asset and Configuration Management) initiatives.

About the Role
As the SIAM Asset Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the full lifecycle of IT assets-from procurement to retirement. You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate, reliable data across hardware and software assets, while leading SACM strategy development in alignment with ITIL best practices.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Maintaining and tracking IT assets including workstations, servers, cloud platforms, and applications
• Ensuring up-to-date asset information across their configuration, location, and relationships
• Developing and implementing a robust SACM strategy aligned with organisational risk, compliance, and cost goals
• Collaborating with procurement, finance, infrastructure, and app teams to optimise asset management processes
• Promoting the SACM process and driving stakeholder engagement
• Continuously improving the SACM process and ensuring alignment with evolving business objectives
• Maintaining the integrity of the IT Asset and Configuration Management Databases (CMDB)

About You
You are an experienced asset manager with a passion for structure, accuracy, and improvement. You bring a strong foundation in ITIL-based service management and are comfortable navigating complex environments with multiple stakeholders.

Key skills and experience include:

• Proven experience in IT asset management across both hardware and software
• Deep understanding of ITIL frameworks and SACM principles
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Analytical mindset with a knack for problem-solving and process refinement
• Experience maintaining IT Asset and Configuration Management Databases (CMDBs)
• Experience within banking or financial services is preferred
