The Role

A State Government Agency is seeking an IT Auditor to join their Data Analytics and Systems Assurance team on a short-term contract until mid to late August. You will work closely with financial audit teams to assess IT risks and controls and support audits of public sector entities.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside financial audit teams to assess IT environments and technology risks
• Evaluate and test General IT Controls (GITCs), including access, change, and IT operations
• Review application-level and automated business process controls
• Support audit planning by identifying and analysing IT-related risks
• Contribute to projects that enhance IT audit methods and use of technology

About You

• 12-24 months' experience in IT audit, IT risk, or systems assurance
• Exposure to GITC testing, automated controls, or IT audit planning
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Studying toward or keen to pursue CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) is a plus
