The role of Condition Monitoring Technician is responsible for successfully executing the lubrication strategy at both our Parkhurst and Kunwarara Operations. QMAG is currently recruiting for 2x Condition Monitoring Technicians. A Condition Monitoring Technician will be based at our Parkhurst processing plant, with the other position based at our Kunwarara Operations, 65kms north of Rockhampton.

The Role
The role of Condition Monitoring Technician will involve, amongst other things:

Coordination of lubricant inventory and ensuring lubricant cleanliness levels are maintained.

Use of tools and equipment for routine and non-routine lubrication functions.

Draining, cleaning, filling and topping reservoirs.

Mechanical modification of systems as directed to facilitate sampling and

Filtration, and other proactive improvements.

Changing filters and breathers on reservoirs

Operating filtration equipment.

Grease re-lubrication with manual and automatic dispensing equipment

Maintenance of dispensing equipment and automatic systems.

Labelling and tagging reservoirs, equipment, inventory and delivery containers.

Printing and fulfilling planned lubrication activities

Update scheduling systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activities.

Schedule, collect, label and mail samples for analysis.

Assist Reliability Engineer with evaluation of oil analysis results for future planned maintenance.

Report in writing any discrepancies or conditions that require corrective action.

The Requirements

We are looking for people with the following:

Capability to work in an unsupervised position effectively.

Capability to read and interpret technical documents, such as:

OEM Maintenance plans

Advanced Lubrication Technology instruction and recommendations

Capability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) for the purpose of interpreting alarms, calculating lubricant inventory and calculating re-lubrication quantity considerations.

Should be familiar with performing lockout-tag out procedure.

Have a strong fundamental understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and

Circulating systems operation, contamination control and maintenance functions.
