Your Role
Responsible for the maintenance of pools and spas your role includes but not limited to cleaning and testing, general maintenance and upkeep of pools and spas and other tasks as requested.
Full-time permanent position - salary of $64,950 plus superannuation, and subsidised staff accommodation
Maintain and repair all pools and spas ensuring a high standard of product quality
Complete testing of water quality of the pools and spas to ensure equal or above Queensland Pool Guidelines
Responsible for the maintenance and security of all Hamilton Island tools and equipment
Ensure all allocated vehicles are maintained in a clean, safe and roadworthy condition
Performs any additional tasks as requested by the Maintenance Manager
About You
You will have excellent personal presentation, communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail is a must.
Certificate II in Pool Technology (or equivalent)
White Card or willing to obtain (Essential)
Previous experience maintaining pools in a commercial environment
Hospitality/Tourism experience an asset

About Hamilton Island Enterprises
History
From its original settlement by the Ngaro Aboriginal tribe, to its visit by Captain Cook in 1770, and evolution as a tourist destination in the 1970s and 1980s, Hamilton Island has had a long and interesting history. The island was purchased by renowned Australian winemaker, Bob Oatley, in 2003, and since, has become one of the world’s leading holiday destinations.
Environment
While there is an abundance of restaurants, bars and resorts on Hamilton Island, only a third of the island is developed - meaning the rest remains in its pristine, natural state. There are more than a dozen walking trails through which guests can explore the island.
Infrastructure
Every year, the Oatley family invests millions of dollars in improving the accommodation, infrastructure and services available on Hamilton Island. This includes ensuring that waste is disposed of in the most environmentally-friendly manner - and is re-used wherever possible - as well as making sure power sources are utilised in the most efficient way.
