We are an Authorised Service Provider for Legal Aid Queensland.

The Role:This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Family law Paralegal. You should be passionate, confident, reliable and ambitious. You will be responsible for providing support to Solicitors who are managing files, and:

Drafting court documents, consent orders and binding financial agreements

Conferencing and taking instructions from clients.

Drafting correspondence

Preparing briefs of evidence for trial including trial affidavits and case outlines.

Instructing Counsel in Court (FCFCOA)

Reviewing documents including disclosure and identifying issues

Working alongside the team of paralegals and practitioners to manage cases and caseload to ensure effective service in a timely manner

Email management

Diary management

This is a full time position for which you will be paid commensurate with your qualifications and experience.

The advertised salary is entry level and will be reviewed within three months of your employment based on your ability, commitment and performance.

The Candidate:

You will:

Have a minimum of at least one (1) years experience or equivalent work experience in Family Law.

A sound understanding of the principles of Family Law, legislative requirements and compliance with the Federal Circuit and Family Court rules.

Possess strong written and communication skills to facilitate effective partnerships with both clients and your colleagues.

Possess strong typing and file management skills with the ability where needed to prepare and file material.

Have experience in managing legally aided and private files with a focus on a balance between customer service, time management, productivity and cost efficiency.
