It takes courage – and a whole team – to support recovery
At Richmind WA, every role matters. Whether you’re tidying a room, preparing a meal, or ensuring a safe and welcoming space, you’re helping create an environment where people experiencing mental distress feel respected, supported, and empowered in their recovery.
As a Service Attendant, your work ensures our homes are clean, calm and ready for people to heal, connect and grow. If you take pride in getting the details right and want your work to truly matter—this is the role for you.
What the role involves:
This is more than a cleaning job. You’ll be a valued part of our team, responsible for:
- Cleaning and maintaining resident rooms and shared areas to high hygiene standards
- Supporting kitchen duties and safe food handling practices
- Ensuring common spaces feel safe, welcoming, and well-cared for
- Ordering, storing and restocking cleaning and kitchen supplies
- Helping maintain our outdoor communal spaces
- Occasionally supervising or supporting residents to build daily living skills like doing laundry
- Working with the broader team to ensure a supportive, recovery-focused environment
You’ll work in line with infection control, manual handling, and WHS standards to help us provide safe, high-quality mental health support services.
This is a part-time role, working every Saturday and Sunday from 17:30 to 21:30 and every second Wednesday from 18:00 to 22:00.
About you
You’re someone who takes pride in your work and understands the importance of dignity, cleanliness, and respect in shared living spaces.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in cleaning, kitchen hand, or laundry roles
- Knowledge of hygiene, infection control and WHS practices
- The ability to work sensitively around people experiencing mental health challenges
- A team-first attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and a proactive, respectful approach
It’s also great (but not essential) if you bring:
- Experience working in a residential or healthcare setting
- Lived experience of mental health recovery (your own or as a carer/family member)
You'll need:
- National Police Clearance (within last 6 months)
- Working With Children Check
- Valid WA driver’s licence
Why join Richmind WA?
- Purpose-driven work – every clean room, every stocked cupboard supports someone’s recovery
- Inclusive culture – we value lived experience, different backgrounds and individual strengths
- Extra leave – Birthday + wellbeing day each year
- Salary packaging – up to $18,640 tax-free benefits
- Learning opportunities – Core Training, LinkedIn Learning + more
- Purchase additional leave and access long service leave after 5 years
- Supportive team culture where your work is seen and appreciated
It takes courage to support others from behind the scenes—and we see you.
