Our newly opened Modern Market, Breadcetera, in Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs has quickly become a local favourite. We're seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and continue our growth

The Role

As our Head Chef, you'll be at the heart of our kitchen, responsible for:

Menu Development: Crafting and executing a seasonal menu featuring gourmet sandwiches and baked items that showcase creativity and quality.

Consistency: Ensuring consistency and quality in every dish, maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation.

Kitchen Management: Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

Team Collaboration: Collaborating with a passionate team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and foster a positive work culture.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a café or bakery setting.

Is an experienced chef ready for a new challenge.

Is creative, ambitious, and passionate about great produce and quality food.

Is highly organised with a strong understanding of kitchen economics and efficiency.

Brings positive energy to every service

Is willing to work closely and collaborate with the owner and front-of-house staff.

Is proficient in the English language.
