We're a popular Vietnamese restaurants in Brunswick, known for our high-quality, casual dining experience. We run Good Days Noodle Bar at 165 Sydney Road and Good Days Hot Bread at 644 Sydney Road.
We have recently started a new concept called Season Chargrilled Chicken Service which we are keen to scale in the foreseeable future.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team at Good Days. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen and ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for our customers. This is a full-time role that will see you working closely with the management team to drive the strategic direction of our food offering across the groups multiple venues.

What you'll be doing

Lead and manage the kitchen team, including scheduling, training and performance management

Develop and implement seasonal menus that showcase your creativity and flair for innovative flavour combinations

Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation and service

Monitor food costs and wastage to maximise profitability

Liaise with suppliers to source the freshest and highest quality ingredients

Foster a positive and collaborative team environment in the kitchen

Comply with all relevant health, safety and food hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent culinary skills with a demonstrated flair for creating innovative dishes

Thorough understanding of food cost control and inventory management

Passion for using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients

Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
