About the Role

The Financial Accountant will play a vital role in managing financial data, reconciling daily transactions, overseeing payroll, and producing timely reports that guide decision-making at the executive level. The ideal candidate will be Xero-proficient, highly analytical, and experienced in working in fast-paced, high-growth environments—ideally in the fintech or financial services space. The suitable candidate would be able to communicate fluently in both English and Vietnamese.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily reconciliations of all accounts and bank feeds using Xero.

Prepare and report weekly payroll summaries across multiple jurisdictions.

Assist in preparing monthly management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and operational KPIs.

Collaborate with the finance team to prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.

Ensure BAS, IAS, PAYG, and superannuation obligations (AU) are prepared and reported accurately (working alongside the Australian compliance team).

Support financial audits and regulatory compliance across Vietnam and Australia.

Coordinate with cross-border finance teams and payment partners to ensure smooth reconciliations and settlement matching.

Recommend and implement improvements to systems, controls, and processes as EzyRemit continues to scale.

Maintain documentation and procedures aligned with internal audit and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields. CPA/CA qualification preferred.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role, preferably within fintech, financial services, or startup environments.

Advanced proficiency with Xero accounting software.

Familiar with Australian financial compliance, including GST, BAS, and Superannuation.

Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work independently.

Excellent communication in English and Vietnamese.

Comfortable working across international teams and time zones.
