About the role

Fairhands Accommodation and Care Services is seeking an experienced, resilient, and confident male support worker to work with a male participant in the Southern Suburbs of Adelaide at Port Noarlunga. The client presents with complex mental health needs and often displays challenging and aggressive behaviours, requiring a worker who is highly skilled in de-escalation, MAPA, boundary-setting, and trauma-informed care.

This role is male-only, as per the client’s preferences related to personal care and cultural considerations.

What you'll be doing

Monitor and report on team and client outcomes, identifying areas for improvement

Ensure compliance with relevant NDIS regulations, policies, and procedures

Provide person-centred support in line with the client’s NDIS plan

Support with daily living tasks, personal care, and community access

Implement positive behaviour support strategies

Ensure safety and uphold professional boundaries at all times

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years experience working with participants with complex mental health and challenging behaviours

Confidence and competence in high-intensity behaviour support situations

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current First Aid and CPR

Current Manual Handling certificate

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Certificate III or IV in Individual Support / Mental Health / Disability or related field

Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
