Mojo's Kitchen Bar and Bottle Shop is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our dynamic team in the beautiful South West, Bunbury, WA. We are replacing a long term chef who has become part of our extended family, but decided to scratch his travel itch and tick off a few things on his bucket list!

Location
Bunbury is the largest centre in regional WA, two hours south of Perth, blessed with clean beaches, a vibrant & diverse community and a country lifestyle with big city facilities. Fresh produce jumps from the ocean & paddocks into our kitchen every day. Fresh fish straight off the boat, lamb, pork & beef from farmer to plate and organic/biodynamic vegetables allow us to create inspiring dishes.

About You
This full-time opportunity is perfect for a culinary professional with a deep respect for nature and a commitment to sustainability.
While we have a vision for our restaurant direction, we need a chef who wants to carve out a legacy for themselves. One that has ideas which inspire food that sparks conversation, invites people to come back for more, is admired by their peers and invites discussion.
As the Head Chef you will be responsible for;
Crafting delicious sustainable dishes utilising our fresh local food resources
Overseeing all culinary operations that actively build our business
Maintaining innovative menus
Leading a solid long term team of dedicated kitchen staff (who are already in place in our kitchen)
What you'll be doing
Manage all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff supervision
Collaborate with the management team to create new and exciting menu items that showcase your culinary expertise and our ethos
Ensure consistent high-quality food presentation and taste in all dishes
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
Foster a positive and productive work environment for the kitchen team
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef (preferred)
We would consider a talented Sous Chef looking for their chance in the spotlight
Strong knowledge of food trends, preparation techniques, and menu development
Ability to use a nose to tail approach with all our proteins
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
Excellent time management and multitasking skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage with customers and share the stories behind the dishes and foster a connection with our diners
