About the role

We are looking for an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our iconic hospitality venue in the heart of South Perth, Western Australia. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading and managing our kitchen operations, creating innovative menus, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. What you'll be doing

Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen staff management

Develop and implement creative, high-quality menus that showcase seasonal, locally sourced ingredients

Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and adherence to health and safety standards

Lead, train, and motivate a team of passionate chefs and kitchen staff

Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute special events and promotions

Monitor and control kitchen expenses to maintain profitability

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and implement innovative cooking techniques

What we're looking for

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry

Formal culinary training or a relevant degree in Hospitality or Culinary Arts

Proven track record of creating innovative, high-quality menus and delivering exceptional customer experiences

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop kitchen staff

Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills

Thorough understanding of food safety, health, and hygiene regulations

Passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and incorporating sustainable practices
