What you'll do:
- Review and enhance platform architectures to ensure alignment with evolving technology trends and organisational needs.
- Troubleshoot issues related to platform availability and integrity, recommending and implementing effective solutions for recovery and remediation.
- Monitor emerging security best practices for platforms, planning and executing improvements that align with information security goals.
- Identify and manage cyber security incidents, overseeing response plans to recover from outages efficiently.
- Track platform performance and costs to deliver reliable, available, cost-effective services that meet business requirements.
- Own the architectural roadmap for integration and data platforms, recommending, designing, and implementing strategic improvements.
- Develop and promote best practice technology standards, patterns, and reusable frameworks across the organisation.
- Steward backlog management and sprint planning activities to ensure development efforts are prioritised according to organisational objectives.
- Communicate integration strategies clearly across teams while leading the implementation of innovative automation, AI, and data quality solutions.
- Mentor development team members in best practice design principles and delivery frameworks while supporting peer review processes.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated attitudes and behaviours that reflect commitment to organisational vision and values centred on inclusion and community support.
- Relevant qualifications in Computer Science or IT/Software Engineering coupled with at least five years' experience in similar roles involving solution architecture.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud computing environments (preferably Azure), software development methodologies, and modern architecture designs including data lakes, warehouses, and Power BI reporting.
- Proven experience with cloud-based integration solutions as well as public cloud IaaS, PaaS, SaaS offerings.
- Familiarity with DevOps processes such as continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), infrastructure-as-code approaches, release management protocols.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities combined with analytical thinking skills for researching technical solutions tailored to business needs.
- Excellent written communication skills alongside strong verbal abilities for translating complex scenarios into clear business language.
- A customer service orientation marked by proactive engagement with stakeholders along with keen attention to detail when managing multiple priorities.
- Self-motivation demonstrated by capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within interdependent teams focused on shared outcomes.
