Role: Assistant Centre Manager (2IC)
Type: Full time - Contract based role (last day being Friday 31st of October 2025)

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Centre Manager to join our dynamic team at our Manifold Heights VIC 3218 location. As part of the management team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Centre Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional early childhood education and care.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Centre Manager in leading and managing the centre's operations, policies and procedures

Supporting the implementation of the educational program and ensuring it aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework

Collaborating with the educational team to foster a warm, inclusive and engaging environment for children

Maintaining strong relationships with families and the local community

Ensuring a high standard of safety, cleanliness and compliance with all regulatory requirements

Providing effective leadership, coaching and mentoring to the educational team

Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to the centre's overall success

What we're looking for

Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field in Early Childcare.

In a similar Assistant Centre Manager or leadership role within the early childhood education sector

Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and its implementation

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families and the team

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and lead by example

Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the centre

Passion for delivering high-quality early childhood education and care

Confident in leading teams, mentoring staff, and maintaining compliance standards.

Thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy building strong relationships with families, children, and your team.
