About the role
As the Finance and Administration Officer, you will work alongside the Corporate Services Officer and report to the Manager Corporate Services. In this role you will provide financial and administrative support for IHCA Group to help ensure the smooth running of the business.
This position offers the opportunity to work within a small team in a dynamic and fulfilling environment, and offers a flexible work schedule; with the option of three full days (Tuesday, Thursday + one more), or shorter days spread out over the Monday to Friday work week.
Specific responsibilities include:
Financial administration - provide accurate and reliable support through:
Day to day data entry and operation of the general ledger
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Process purchase orders, invoices and remittances in Xero
Manage customer invoicing and follow up on outstanding payments
Process payroll in line with organisational timelines
Maintain and reconcile creditor accounts, ensuring timely payments
Support end of month processing
Administrative support - take responsibility for a range of tasks including:
Updating core business systems and customer records
Managing several email boxes, responding and actioning within necessary timeframes
Maintaining office contracts and suppliers
Support efficient onboarding of new staff and volunteers (e.g. systems, mandatory screening)
Provide assistance with answering phone calls and addressing finance-related questions
General administrative support as directed
About you
You are someone who takes responsibility for personal work quality and target achievement. You show initiative, have attention to detail and are solution focused. You like to work as part of a team and can adapt easily in a fast-paced working environment.
You are self-motivated, have excellent time management and prioritisation skills and enjoy working unsupervised for the majority of your time.
You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a meticulous eye for detail.
You have excellent skills in the use of business accounting systems such as Xero or other similar accounting systems.
You have experience in the processing of accounts payable and receivable, payroll and end of month financial processing - an undergraduate qualification is desirable but not essential.
You have experience with Microsoft Office 365 programs including high level Excel skills, SharePoint and Teams.
You have relevant experience (2-5 years) in a similar role (professional services business and/or community service environment (community, disability, youth, social, health).
