About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join MS Civil as the Integrated Management Systems and OHS&E Manager. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company's integrated management systems, with a strong focus on health, safety and environmental compliance. This full-time role is based in Hobart, Tasmania.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the company's integrated management systems, including quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety (OHS&E) programs

Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards

Lead the identification, assessment and mitigation of OHS&E risks across the business

Develop and deliver effective OHS&E training programs for employees

Provide expert advice and support to project teams to ensure safe work practices are followed

Investigate incidents and near misses, and implement corrective and preventative actions

Collaborate with senior management to set and monitor OHS&E targets and key performance indicators

Represent the company in external audits and regulatory inspections

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualifications in OHS, environmental management or a related field

Substantial experience (5+ years) in a similar management systems and OHS&E role, preferably within the construction industry

Proven expertise in developing and implementing integrated management systems to ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards

Excellent knowledge of relevant OHS&E legislation, regulations and industry codes of practice

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address systemic issues

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities

Collaborative leadership style with the ability to coach and mentor others
