The Opportunity
A full-time, ongoing opportunity is available for a Procurement Specialist to join the Corporate Procurement Team. Based in a city office location, this role supports the corporate function and involves managing complex procurement activities for goods and services, as well as overseeing resulting contracts. You’ll work across a diverse range of categories including IT, facilities, customer services, and professional services.
This role also includes providing leadership support to the Procurement Manager, mentoring other team members, and offering technical procurement advice. You’ll be part of a high-performing team that values strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.
A competitive salary package is on offer, with 15% Superannuation, income protection for up to three years, and a range of wellness and lifestyle benefits. Flexible work arrangements are available, including the option to work from home one to two days per week once established in the role.
The Role
In this role you will:
- Lead end-to-end procurement processes for goods and services contracts, including tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award
- Provide expert advice and support to internal stakeholders on procurement and contract management best practices
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and contract compliance
- Assist the Procurement Manager with mentoring and guiding less experienced team members
- Contribute to the development of sourcing strategies and risk assessments
- Maintain accurate contract registers and documentation
The Ideal Person
You’re a proactive and detail-oriented procurement professional with five to seven years’ experience in end-to-end procurement and contract management.
You thrive in dynamic environments, ask thoughtful questions, and enjoy challenging the status quo to improve outcomes. Whether your background is in government or the commercial sector, you bring strong stakeholder engagement skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with confidence.
You’ll also bring:
- A Diploma in Procurement and Supply (or equivalent) or tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, or Finance
- Proven experience managing supplier relationships and performance
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes, including tendering, evaluation, and negotiation
- Familiarity with modern supply chain systems and technologies
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring and coaching others
Salary / Rate
- Salary $120k - $146k + 15% Super
- Permanent, full-time role
