The Opportunity

They are currently seeking an experienced Sales Specialist to join their Canberra-based team and lead high-value engagements across a portfolio of major federal government accounts.

This is a key role focused on identifying, shaping, and closing opportunities within an existing client base. Working in close partnership with internal client managers and solution architects, you will help deliver tailored workplace solutions that solve real-world challenges for large, complex organisations.

What You’ll Be Selling

You’ll specialise in workplace and collaboration technologies, including:

  • Modern cloud productivity platforms like M365 and Google Workspace
  • Collaboration solutions including Teams, Cisco, Webex and cloud calling
  • Lead end-user device lifecycle offerings using Intune and EUC solutions
  • Virtual desktop solutions such as AVD, Citrix and VMware

The Role

  • Manage and take full ownership of client relationships within your assigned accounts, acting as the primary contact and internal advocate
  • Identify opportunities to grow accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and renewals across a range of digital workplace and collaboration solutions
  • Provide oversight of account activity, including introducing new solutions, monitoring service performance, and proactively resolving client issues
  • Lead strategic conversations with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to strengthen relationships and align solutions with business goals
  • Maintain deep knowledge of client industries and challenges to ensure solutions are relevant, valuable, and well-positioned
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, from identifying opportunities to closing deals, collaborating with pre-sales architects and internal sales teams.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure proposals, scope of work, and delivery timelines are well coordinated and executed effectively

The Ideal Person

You will have expertise in workplace and collaboration technologies, such as Cisco and Microsoft 365 with strong client credibility.

You will also have:

  • NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory for this role)
  • Proven experience in solution-based selling within IT or digital workplace environments
  • A strong track record of managing pipelines and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience working with C-level stakeholders (CFOs and CTOs)
  • Proven experience leading client engagements, building trust, and tailoring technical solutions to business challenges
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of solution design and the pre-sales process
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications in sales methodologies and digital workplace tools

Salary / Rate

  • $200k + 12% Super + commission (negotiable)
  • Permanent/Full time position
  • Hybrid working options offered
