Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner

Manage incoming phone calls, appointment bookings, and enquiries

Use Best Practice management software to schedule appointments and update patient records

Process Medicare, private billing, and EFTPOS payments accurately

Coordinate patient check-in and check-out

Handle medical correspondence, scanning, filing, and administrative tasks

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy laws at all times

Support clinical and management staff with daily operational tasks

Assist with managing stock and ordering office supplies

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical, dental, or allied health reception role

Certificate III or IV in Business Administration (Medical) or similar qualification preferred

Experience with medical software (e.g., Best Practice, MedicalDirector, or similar)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong computer and administrative skills

High level of professionalism, punctuality, and reliability

Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure

Strong attention to detail and patient service mindset

The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and compassionate, with at least 2 years of experience in a medical or healthcare environment.
