Tasks involved:
• Assist in the preparation of menus, ensuring adequate cost control and costings while providing a consistent and premium quality product for our customers.
• Prepare and cook menu items in a timely manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
• Ensure food quality and presentation meets our high standards
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain professional code of conduct and a high standard of grooming and hygiene
• Assist in managing food, waste, and labour costs and revenue.
• Train kitchen staff and promoting a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
• Trade qualification or equivalent in cooking and food preparation.
• Previous experience working as a cook or chef at Indian restaurants with responsibility for the planning the menu and preparation of Indian and South Indian dishes
• A natural creative flair and ability to produce good quality food.
• Exceptional personal hygiene & presentation standards.
• Well-coordinated staff management and task delegation
• A drive and tenancy to meet quality standards and exceeds expectations
• Patient and ability to work under pressure
