Untapped are looking for a highly skilled Business Improvement Consultant to support our client's mining operation with their Safe Production Systems (SPS) deployment. This position is foundational in facilitating business improvement activities that will enable site to implement and embed SPS.

Duration: 3-months (with 3-month option)

Roster: 5/2/4/3 (Site-Based | FIFO from Perth, WA)

Commencement: Start July

What the Role is?

Support the deployment and embedding of Safe Production Systems (SPS).

Analyse and benchmark value chain performance to identify initiatives and deliver insights to operational leaders.

Lead and facilitate business improvement initiatives using proven methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.

Manage initiatives from start to finish, from project charter creation to implementation.

Lead structured problem-solving sessions with cross-functional teams, utilising tools such as PPS, RCA, and 5 Whys.

Instil a continuous improvement mindset in stakeholders and coach them on suitable tools and processes.

What you bring?

Qualifications and/or experience in related fields such as Engineering, Finance, HSE, Operations or Operational Excellence.

Excellent observational and listening skills.

Well established communication, collaboration and influencing skills and the ability to manage external and internal stakeholders effectively.

An ability to identify and effectively navigate obstacles or roadblocks in the moment.

Demonstrated expertise leading business improvement efforts and implementing business operating systems.

Strong analytical skills, including the ability to assess performance data and identify areas for development.

Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methods is highly desirable.

Prior experience in the mining or resource industries is highly desirable.

Prior experience in mining operations and/or mining technical services is highly desirable.

Prior experience in mine planning would be advantageous.
