Aerostrip is part of the Image Sign Group of companies based at Glynde.

Aerostrip is a specialised precision painting company servicing set contracts for the mining, medical and signage industries.

We are seeking a skilled Tradesperson who can work with management and staff, and take the initiative to develop and advance the Aerostrip business in line with our modernisation and expansion plans.

This position requires a highly motivated and professional spray painter to work to the high standards demanded by our customers.

Job tasks and responsibilities

· Clean and mask parts to be painted

· Prepare paints and primers to desired colour and consistency

· Prepares spraying equipment such as cleaning or adjusting spray gun

· Part preparation and repair works using all paint finishes

· Maintains stock levels of all items required for the completion of duties

· Manage daily work schedules

· Mentor our dedicated apprentice

Experience and qualifications

· Trade qualified (Certificate 3 in Automotive Refinishing)

· Significant experience with spray painting to an automotive finish

· Skilled in the use and operation of painting equipment

· Knowledge of and experience with surface and metal finishing

· Able to effectively apply and rub down primers and paints

Personal requirements and attitude

· Able to visualise the end product, have a great eye for detail, good hand-eye coordination and great pride in own work

· Work to tight schedules

· Time management capability

· Leadership skills

· Enthusiastic and organised with a positive outlook, 'can do' attitude and ability to work effectively as a team member

· Be customer-focused, a good communicator and have a high attention to detail

· Be flexible and have the ability to work overtime if required

We will also consider painters who are willing to be trained in our painting methods by our senior painters.

Pay rate based on experience.
