About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to oversee the efficient and effective operation of our field service department at our Liftek Griffith location in Griffith, NSW. As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of technicians and ensuring all equipment is serviced to the highest standard. This is a full-time permanent role.

What you'll be doing

Supervising and coordinating the work of the service team to ensure timely and high-quality repairs and maintenance

Monitoring workflow and allocating work to technicians based on their skills and availability

Reviewing job cards, invoices and time sheets to maintain accurate records and cost controls

Liaising with customers to understand their needs and provide updates on the status of their vehicles

Identifying training needs and providing coaching and development opportunities for the service team

Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety and quality standards

Contributing to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures

What we're looking for

Relevant trade qualifications in automotive mechanics or a related field

Extensive experience (5+ years) working as a service manager or in a similar leadership role in the automotive or Agriculture industry

Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team

Proficiency in using workshop management software and other relevant technologies
