Role Overview
As a Senior Hydraulic Fitter, you will be at the heart of our operations and will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining hydraulic systems and components. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure systems function efficiently and safely. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality service to our clients, ensuring their machinery and equipment is running at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic components and systems including pumps, valves, motors, cylinders, and hoses according to technical specifications
Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system issues and carry out necessary repairs or modifications
Perform safety inspections and preventative maintenance on hydraulic systems and equipment
Fitment, programming and servicing of truck mounted cranes
Some fitting/machining as required for repairs or component manufacture
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve system designs and performance
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Maintain accurate service records and reports
Manage your labour productivity to achieve agreed targets
Experience & Qualifications:
Highly skilled & proven experience as a Senior Hydraulic Fitter in an industrial or mechanical engineering environment
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Cert IV in Engineering Mechanical with certifications/qualifications in Fluid Power
Experience in a supervisory or leadership role highly regarded
Drivers licence
