About the role

Maurer Machine Tools PTY LTD' is seeking a highly skilled Machinist to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. This full-time role will involve operating a variety of machine tools to Machine, assemble our own brand of portable machining equipment built right here in Mackay QLD.

What you'll be doing

Operating a range of machine tools such as manual or CNC lathes, milling machines, to manufacture and assemble machine components

Reading and interpreting technical drawings, programs and specifications to ensure accurate production

Performing routine maintenance and adjustments on machinery to maintain optimal performance

Collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements

Assisting with development of products, and manufacturing processes

Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualification as a Machinist or equivalent experience

Proven track record of operating a variety of machine tools with high levels of accuracy and efficiency

Strong working knowledge of engineering drawing reading, measurement techniques and quality control processes

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to upholding safety standards
