Specialised Reline Services (SRS) is seeking a proactive and experienced WHS & Training Advisor to help us Safely Deliver Quality Relines across our shutdown and maintenance operations.
About the Role:
As the WHS & Training Advisor, you’ll play a critical role in driving our safety culture, delivering high-quality training, and supporting our teams both on-site and off-site. You’ll be responsible for WHS systems, internal training (including Confined Space and Working at Heights), VOCs, injury management, and maintaining compliance with all safety and training standards. This is a hands-on role that includes site visits, client liaison, and supporting shutdown operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide WHS support and advice across all levels of the business.
Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Deliver and assess internal training, inductions, and VOCs.
Facilitate in-house Confined Space and Working at Heights training.
Manage third-party RTO agreements and training compliance.
Oversee workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
Monitor Fitness for Work, including Drug & Alcohol screening.
Maintain first aid facilities and WHS documentation.
What We’re Looking For:
Mandatory:
Certificate IV in WHS and Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
Occupational First Aid & CPR, White Card, and current Driver’s Licence
Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights certification
Proven experience in WHS and training roles in mining, shutdowns, or heavy industry
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and training compliance
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Must have current Australian work rights and be currently living in or willing to relocate to Geraldton
Desirable:
Diploma in WHS or Injury Management Certification
ICAM or equivalent investigation training
Experience managing RTW programs and D&A screening
High-Risk Work Licence (e.g., Forklift, Dogging, Rigging)
Work Conditions:
Geraldton-based, Monday to Friday, with regular attendance to shutdowns as required.
Must complete pre-employment check requirements including National Police Check and full medical including drug and alcohol screening.
