We are seeking a Full-time Handyman/Groundsman to join our team and assist with grounds and maintenance tasks at Lake Hume Holiday Park in Bowna, NSW, located just a 30-minute drive north-east from Albury.

This is a live-in position. You will receive a remuneration package comprising an annual salary of $60,000 plus Super and accommodation, including utilities (electricity, water, and gas). The accommodation is a 1-bedroom cabin.

This position involves working every weekend. You will work from Thursday to Monday, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.

We are seeking an individual with a hands-on approach and an outgoing personality. You must be comfortable operating tools and equipment, cleaning the amenity blocks, and handling some guests' enquiries.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Carry out general grounds and maintenance tasks: ensure the cabins are in optimal condition of repairs, the grounds are always neat, and the park facilities and equipment are adequately maintained and serviced.

Control weeds, pests and diseases, including the application of pesticides within the scope of training and knowledge.

Assist the team with cleaning BBQs, the camp kitchen, and the amenity block as required.

Deliver high customer service, help guests with their queries, and ensure they have an enjoyable stay.

Maintain a safe work environment and safe work systems and procedures.

Always display a high level of professional and ethical conduct.

Refer matters that may impact the business & employees to the Park Manager.

Occasional on-call night shift during the year, answering the after-hours emergency phone, when other staff are on leave.

Position requirements:

Ability to work both under the instructions of the Park Managers and unsupervised.

A trade certificate is desirable but not essential.

Good handyperson skills.

Ability to operate plant and equipment.

Strong multitasking and organisational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities.

Have a current driver's licence.

Physically fit and enthusiastic with a 'can do' attitude.

Understanding of WH&S responsibilities
