Principal Edge & Legacy Specialist – NSW Government

• 12 month assignment with potential extensions
• McKell Building / WFH
• $800 p/d + super

Primary Purpose

Monitor and continuously improve support services to enhance the Customer and User Experience, offering expertise in Infrastructure and Edge & Legacy systems, while supporting the roll-out of the S4/Hana centralised solution and the migration from multiple SAP legacy systems and agency-specific systems.

Key Accountabilities

• Design tools and implement processes to identify, analyse, and facilitate improvements to Non-SAP, Edge, and Legacy systems, manage system connectivity, manage Single Sign-On, and support Agency infrastructure teams aligned with the relevant customer journeys.
• Coordinate and undertake research and analysis of best practices on processes and activities to ensure internal and external services are delivered efficiently, business outcomes are measured and reported as required, and systemic and emerging risks are promptly identified.
• Review the business unit’s strategies to enable the department to deliver services cost-effectively and position them to meet current and future requirements.
• Provide proactive and evidence-based advice and reports to the Director and/or the Executive Director to ensure services consider business requirements, identify change impacts, and consider the sustainability of the recommended solution.
• Research and prepare advice in the form of briefs, policy, and discussion papers in response to governance forum and leadership requests.
• Liaise and work across department Divisions, non-government stakeholders and business process owners

Essential Requirements

• Must be based in Sydney.
• S4/Hana experience and Legacy systems
