The Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Draftsperson to join our dynamic technical team and support complex structural projects across diverse sectors. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology including Revit and LiDAR modeling within Trinity Groups innovative profit-sharing and employee ownership structure.

Key Responsibilities

Create detailed structural drawings and 3D models using Revit

Process and integrate LiDAR scan data into building information models

Develop as-built documentation from 3D laser scanning and survey data

Produce technical drawings for structural steel, facades, and heritage projects

Coordinate with engineers to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance

Manage drawing revisions and version control throughout project lifecycle

Assist with construction documentation and detail development

Support site investigations through accurate drawing production

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects

Essential Requirements

Revit Proficiency: Minimum 5+ years experience in Revit for structural modeling and documentation

LiDAR Experience: Proven experience working with LiDAR point clouds and 3D scanning data

Technical Drafting: Strong background in structural drawings, details, and construction documentation

(Preferred) Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, and point cloud processing software (CloudCompare, ReCap, etc.)

Associate Degree in Engineering Drafting or equivalent qualification

Experience with structural steel detailing and connection design

Understanding of Australian Building Codes and Standards (AS/NZS)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation

Highly Desirable

Experience with heritage building documentation and restoration projects

Knowledge of facade systems and curtain wall detailing

Familiarity with Tekla Structures or similar structural detailing software

Understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing

Previous work in structural investigation and remediation projects
