About the role
As a key member of the UPG Team, this position will focus on technical support for our solutions, including GNSS Systems, Robotic Total Stations, 3D Laser scanners, UAV’s, Monitoring systems and associated software. Mostly this consists of office-based phone and email technical support and training to our clients using our systems in the geospatial industry, but the role also requires some infrequent local and state-wide travel for on-site support and training.
Day to day the role involves:
Consulting with customers to determine business processes and subsequent solution requirements
Working closely with Sales Team to identify solutions to customer issues
Problem solving across the suite of geospatial solutions
Providing high end technical support to UPG customers
About you
To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:
A tertiary qualification in Spatial Sciences/Geomatics/Surveying would be highly regarded for this role, but extensive experience in the Geospatial Industry can substitute a formal qualification.
Experience with Trimble geospatial products is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
You are a passionate, driven, dynamic individual who thrive on learning new systems on an ongoing basis, and staying up to date with the latest technologies.
Have a high level of communication and relationship building skills.
Must be able to work autonomously.
Must have the ability to rapidly absorb new technical skills and learn on the fly.
Happy to visit local and state-wide customers to provide on-site support and training.
