About you: We are looking for QLD-based (Brisbane) nurses with paediatric experience, including school nurses, GP practice nurses, general paediatric RNs, paediatric ED, NICU, Critical Care RNs, immunisation & child+family health RNs, who are:

passionate about paediatrics - you love sharing your expert knowledge to make a difference to the outcomes of sick and injured children

skilled communicators - you are passionate about educating families through adult-learning principles & story-telling

flexible & reliable - you want to work primarily on weekends or weekday evenings, 1-2 times a month & love working autonomously

dedicated to empowering others - you are driven by helping with families know that parents can act with confidence and knowledge to respond in an emergency with their child

want to teach more than just a first aid class - you want to guide participants to leave a class feeling empowered, confident and safe and want to adapt & thrive within a progressive & fast growing organisation

About the role: Empower participants with the knowledge & skills to perform effective CPR and first aid for babies & children, and recognition of the sick child, by engaging participants in a learning process that is respectful, using practical learning principles.

Your qualifications:

Post registration experience in paediatric / neonatal nursing

Knowledge of the principles of Adult Learning

Knowledge of the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines (Basic Life Support)

Current registration with AHPRA; a valid QLD Blue Card (willingness to hold); driver's licence and own vehicle

Your recruitment commitment, if successful:

17 – 23 June 2025 submit your application

24 June or 29 June 2025: attend a participation class in the Brisbane area, to find out what a CPR Kids class is like

18 – 30 June 2025: be available for ZOOM interview, where you will give a short presentation on a paediatric first aid topic and answer general interview questions

1 July 2025: be available for orientation via ZOOM

2 – 17 July 2025: be available for occasional ZOOM training sessions in this period, and self-directed learning

18 July 2025: be available for in-person training day in the Brisbane area

19 &/or 20 July 2025: be available to be facilitated in teaching a CPR Kids class, in the Brisbane area, with a senior educator in support
