Interior Designer | Brisbane | $80,000 – $100,000 + Super
Looking for more design ownership, less red tape, and a team that actually supports work-life balance?
This multi award-winning Brisbane Architecture and Interiors studio is expanding its Interiors team and seeking a confident, capable Interior Designer with 4–7 years’ experience. The practice is known for producing thoughtful, buildable design across education, workplace, commercial, health, and mixed-use sectors — with an emphasis on context, detail, and collaboration.
You’ll join a close-knit interiors team where your ideas will be heard and your career genuinely supported. This isn’t a factory floor or a siloed team – you’ll work closely with senior leaders and contribute across all stages of design, from concept to completion.
The Role
As a mid-level designer, you’ll lead concept development and support delivery across several new projects. You’ll take the reins on concept design, space planning, joinery detailing, FF&E, consultant coordination, and documentation, while mentoring students and working side by side with architects and clients.
The studio uses Revit across all projects, so strong Revit experience is ideal, along with solid technical knowledge and a good eye for design resolution.
About You
4–7 years’ experience in Interior Design
Confident across concept, documentation, and delivery
Skilled in Revit (essential), Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office
Able to prepare drawing packages, schedules, and documentation with minimal supervision
Strong understanding of joinery detailing, finishes, and construction processes
Experience working directly with clients, consultants, and suppliers
A collaborative mindset and proactive, can-do attitude
Why This Studio?
Hybrid working – Flexibility around school hours, Gym or other commitments
Genuine work-life balance – projects are well-resourced and deadlines are realistic
Mid-sized studio – big enough for great projects, small enough for your voice to count
Career development – regular check-ins, support for CPD, and a clear path for progression
Warm, friendly team – inclusive culture, team lunches, social events (without pressure)
Whether you’re coming from a larger practice where you feel like a cog in the wheel, or a smaller studio where you’re looking for more support and design range – this is the kind of role that can reinvigorate your career.
