Are you an experienced Maintenance Fitter looking for a short-term opportunity with the potential for ongoing work? We’re seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join a dynamic maintenance team within a busy industrial manufacturing facility in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.

About the Role

This is a temporary 6-week assignment working on the day shift, with full-time hours (approx. 40 hours/week) and regular overtime available. For the right candidate, this role may lead to a permenant position in the company.

You’ll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of fixed plant equipment, ensuring smooth and safe operations of the production line. The ideal candidate will have experience in food manufacturing environments, although similar industrial experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on fixed plant machinery
• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs efficiently
• Minimise equipment downtime and support production continuity
• Maintain accurate records of work and follow safety protocols
• Work collaboratively with other maintenance and operations staff

Skills and Experience

• Trade-qualified Fitter (Mechanical)
• Proven experience with fixed plant maintenance
• Prior work in food manufacturing or FMCG environments is highly desirable
• Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive attitude
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Available for day shift and occasional overtime
