The Opportunity

Are you a detail-driven payroll professional with a passion for precision and people? We're on the lookout for two experienced Payroll Officers to become key players in our fast-paced, customer-focused payroll team.

In this role, you'll help process weekly payroll for around 1,800 employees, ensuring every team member is paid accurately and on time. Your top-notch customer service skills will shine as you navigate policies, procedures, legislation, and Enterprise Agreement conditions to deliver a seamless payroll experience.

You will have good understanding on general payroll transactions, tax, superannuation and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. We have two roles available:

  • Permanent Part-Time - 21 hours per week - Salary from $44.08 to $50.81 per hour plus superannuation.
  • Full-Time (24-Month Term Contract) - With the possibility of extension or permanency - Salary from $80,499 to $91,467 per hour plus superannuation.

(Salary package will be assessed based on skills, experience, and qualifications)

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Payroll Lead your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • End to end payroll processing of weekly payroll
  • Conducting audits and checks on timesheet and payroll data
  • Preparation and processing of new employees and managing changes
  • Preparation and processing of termination payments and transfers
  • Responding to, and supporting employees on payroll matters
  • Processing superannuation, deductions, reimbursements and reconciling reports
  • Maintaining records, staff files including the updating and verification of pay records
