About the Role: Key Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behaviour assessments to understand individual strengths, needs, and behavioural triggers.

• Address client goals and service agreement outcomes within required timeframes and NDIS funding.

• Collaborate with clients, families, support workers, and other professionals to co-design meaningful behaviour support plans.

• Develop evidence-based, person-centred Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) that align with NDIS goals and the client’s lived experience.

• Support implementation of plans by providing training, coaching, and monitoring to ensure consistency and quality of support.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions that build communication, emotional regulation, social skills, and independence.

• Ensure restrictive practices are used ethically and in compliance with Restrictive Practice Authorisation (RPA) processes.

• Uphold the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, including documentation of regulated restrictive practices where applicable

• Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.

About You

• A tertiary qualification in a relevant human services discipline, such as psychology, counselling, social work, occupational therapy, education, or related fields.

• NDIS Commission registration as a Core or Proficient PBS Practitioner — or eligibility and willingness to work towards this.

• A passion for person-centred, strengths-based support for people with disability or complex needs.

• Experience in behaviour support, mental health, disability services, or therapeutic interventions (highly regarded).

• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

• Current Australian driver’s licence, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and police check.
