C J Boyd Solicitors is a well-established law firm in Sydney looking for a skilled and experienced Leasing Lawyer to join our team. The successful candidate will have some experience in property law and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting and working with partners and lawyers in the team in meeting clients’ objectives and deadlines
• Transactional role with a focus on all areas of property law but in particular retirement village leasing matters
• Advising in relation to retirement village transactions
• Working closely with other advisers on projects to understand and address legal and non-legal issues that arise in projects such as financial hurdles

Desired Skills and Experience

You will have a variety of experience and skill that includes:

• strong written and verbal communication skills
• admitted as a solicitor in NSW
• some experience in property law matters
• experience in leasing matters will be highly regarded
• a strong client service orientation and willingness to nurture client relationships
• excellent analytical and research skills
• a commitment to high work standards and strong attention to detail
• being able to take the initiative and be proactive with a willingness to learn
• an ability to work well in a team environment
• a commercial approach and an ability to negotiate effectively
• experience meeting deadlines and handling confidential information
