What you'll be doing

Preparing and analysing financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets and cash flow reports

Maintaining general ledger accounts and performing account reconciliations

Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and Business Activity Statements (BAS)

Providing accounting support and advice to clients, including recommendations for improving financial management

Working with cryptocurrency clients, including crypto transaction reconciliation and reporting

Assisting with government grant applications such as R&D tax incentives, EMDG, and other relevant programs

Collaborating with the wider team on various projects and client engagements

Continuously improving processes and identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery

What we're looking for

1 .5+ years' experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within a professional services environment

Have started your CA/CPA program and are committed to completing it

Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related field

Strong technical accounting skills, with a good understanding of accounting standards and taxation requirements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients

Proficient in the use of accounting software, such as MYOB, Xero or QuickBooks

A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
