JS Careers is pleased to be recruiting an M&A Associate position with a PE-backed cold storage business to join their Rotterdam office. The team have professionals from Australia and are open to hiring from Australia, for candidates with a European passport/citizenship. Unfortunately, the team cannot sponsor at this time.
Our client is a full-service temperature-controlled logistics company backed by one of the world’s most successful infrastructure investors, which currently has over $40 billion in assets under management. Since its inception, our client has acquired >10 medium-sized family-owned companies across Europe. As they continue this growth, they are looking to hire an M&A Associate.
As an M&A Associate, you will support various aspects of the M&A processes, strategic projects, as well as integration support. You will assist in maintaining and managing good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Your key objective is to support the progress and quality of deal(s), thereby contributing to long-term value creation for all stakeholders. Responsibilities include:
Assist in the execution, management, and integration of M&A transactions, ensuring thorough analysis, valuation, and documentation.
Support and coordinate due diligence activities, working with internal teams and external advisors to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of potential targets.
Prepare and analyse detailed financial statements and models, presentations, and reports to support transaction decisions.
Stay updated with industry trends and market conditions to evaluate new (strategic) opportunities.
The ideal candidate for this role has:
Proven track record and experience in M&A processes with 1.5-5 years of experience in investment analysis, corporate development, transaction advisory or corporate finance in a deal environment.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to negotiate transaction structures and legal documentation.
Experience in building financial models and strong MS Office skills, e.g., Excel and PowerPoint.
High level of energy, results, and relationship-driven, with demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently, meet demanding deadlines, and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent people skills to build strong relationships with advisors, internal and external stakeholders.
Fluent in English; Dutch, Italian, and/or Spanish is a plus. (Not required).
