What You’ll Be Doing:

• Performing maintenance, servicing, and mechanical repairs on waste collection vehicles, including both rear and front lift rubbish trucks
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults across a variety of heavy vehicles and equipment
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards
• Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with safety regulations
• Collaborating with the broader maintenance team to maximise equipment uptime and fleet reliability

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with diesel engines or heavy vehicles
• Prior experience with waste trucks (rear or front lift) is highly desirable
• Strong diagnostics, fault-finding, and repair capabilities
• Ability to work autonomously on shift and contribute positively to team culture
• A proactive mindset and strong commitment to workplace safety
