Future Grid's aim is to revolutionise the energy sector by developing innovative software solutions that enable real-time grid management. The Future Grid platform detects network faults every single minute, helping deliver safer and more sustainable electricity. They offer approximately 75 analytic outcomes, including hosting capacity, EV detection, dynamic voltage control and fault detection, making network analytics accessible to utilities of any size.
As Future Grid is growing, they are seeking an innovative and strategic Grid Analytics Engineer to enhance analytics capabilities and deliver market-leading Distribution Service Operator (DSO) solutions to customers. This key role will shape the future of clean, intelligent energy systems for both clients and the industry. Please note, this is a full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm.

Key Responsibilities
Design and enhance low voltage (LV) network analytics and DSO capabilities, including forecasting and standards development
Define analytical requirements and collaborate with internal teams to build, test, and deploy solutions
Analyse customer data to improve detection accuracy
Support customer fault monitoring and ensure effective issue resolution
Refine user workflows to ensure analytics are actionable and user-friendly
Liaise with customers and industry stakeholders to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement
Develop proof-of-concepts and reports to highlight key insights and support product evolution
Assist with product demonstrations and solution adoption
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
Has a strong background in electrical engineering and knowledge of LV distribution networks
Familiarity with grid standards and regulations (e.g., AS4777, IEEE 1547, etc.)
Is willing to undergo a National Police Check
Is an effective communicator with experience working across teams and with clients
Strong analytical skills to identify patterns, anomalies, and root causes in power system behaviour
Is customer-focused; understands the needs and challenges of clients and drive initiatives to improve their experience
Is proactive, self-motivated and passionate about energy innovation
