Graduate Architect

NSW Government organisation - hybrid Parramatta & WFH - $45 per hour + super - initial 12 month assignment - occasional regional NSW travel required.

Primary purpose of the role

The Graduate will support the Design team in unlocking the potential of the department’s property portfolio through activities such as precinct analysis, master planning, site selection, feasibility assessments, and the development of project briefs for architectural teams. The role will also assist the Design Office in advancing policy initiatives.

Key accountabilities

• Work autonomously and within a team environment to achieve key performance indicators, ensuring deliverables meet quality expectations and comply with defined policies protocols and timeframes.
• Undertake tasks that contribute to the design, implementation and coordination of projects which deliver effective business unit outcomes and meet client service delivery needs.
• Build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate achievement of business outcomes.
• Identify and escalate complex matters or issues that may impact the delivery of services to the business unit manager.
• Conduct research and analysis that contribute to the development of policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Contribute to a diverse range of workplace projects and provide services to both internal and external stakeholders, supporting the successful delivery of the business unit’s strategic objectives.

Selection criteria:

• Completed tertiary qualifications in Architecture (Masters) within the last three years.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
• A self-starter with williness to learn and grow
• Beneficial but not essential: Experience using Archicad software
• Current white card (or willingness to obtain)
• Beneficial but not essential: valid drivers licence
• Willingness to travel to site on occasion
