Senior Cloud & System Engineer

Green Light are seeking a talented Senior Cloud & System Engineer to join our Technical Delivery Team in Sydney.

This role requires adaptability to work across teams, such as storage, backup and compute, depending on the project needs. You will play a pivotal role in managing client’s cloud and on-premises infrastructure, while also mentoring junior team members and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge-sharing.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of both cloud and on-premises systems, working across various cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP and Spanning platforms like Linux and Windows.
• Provide SME-level expertise in Infrastructure areas such as Storage, Backup, Switches, Virtualisation Technologies and Security, while remaining adaptable to work across other technologies based on project needs.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve complex infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and resilience across client platforms.
• Drive the adoption of automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible and Terraform to streamline processes and improve system efficiency.
• Provide leadership in security and compliance efforts, ensuring infrastructure is aligned with best practices and industry standards.
• Experience both cloud and on premises such as Compute, Storage, Backup, or Automation, with the ability to work across a wide variety of technologies.
• Experience with technologies such as AWS, Azure, Linux, Microsoft stack, Ansible, Terraform and the ability to manage both and on-premises Infrastructure and Cloud Operations.
• Good knowledge of networking concepts and operational understanding of DNS, F5, Load balancers, WAF (like Akamai), firewall.
• 6-12 Months Contract, Ideally Sydney Based.
