Get Off Gas is an environmentally conscious electrical company offering expert solutions to electrify Melbourne’s homes. We’re a one-stop-shop for our clients’ needs, from consultation to installation to maintenance, with a strong focus on educating homeowners to ensure they make great decisions for the environment and their wallets. We are doing our part to accelerate the transition to renewable-fuelled all-electric buildings, appliances and transportation, while focusing on reducing running costs and improving liveability for all.

Your role

This role will suit an experienced electrician with similar environmental values. You should:

be confident managing multiple jobs and supervising apprentices

have excellent organisational skills

be a clear communicator with both customers and colleagues

take pride in completing your work to a high standard

have excellent attention to detail

be able to find solutions through thinking quickly and outside the box

have the foresight to provide future-proof solutions to our customers

be conscious of any waste produced and recycling opportunities

In a normal work day, you could:

install heat pump hot water systems (with the support of a plumber)

install induction cooktops and electric ovens

install or replace heating and cooling systems including RCACs and ducted underfloor systems (with support from a licensed air conditioning expert)

undertake switchboard upgrades

install electric vehicle chargers

install rooftop solar systems

conduct major and minor fault finding in homes

complete light switch and power point replacements

complete lighting repairs and upgrades, and appliance repairs

We are looking for someone with broad electrical experience, with a passion for replacing gas appliances with high-quality, suitable electric systems and appliances that are in the best interests of our customers. You will be trusted to represent and uphold the company’s strong reputation.

What you need

Current Australian Driver's Licence

A-Grade Electrical License

White card

Neat presentation and willing to wear company T-shirt

Your own hand tools

Nice to have but viewed favourably

Certificate II in Split System Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems

CEC solar installer licence

Experience in split system replacements

Current CPR competency

Sense of humour(!)
