About the role:

We are currently seeking an energetic, self-motivated Trainee Mining Systems Field Technician to join our team. This role will be based from Gladstone, with work performed in our workshop and on our clients’ mine sites in regional QLD, on a Monday to Friday roster.

Duties of the role include:

Install, maintain and program communications and technology systems/equipment

Provide technical support for communications and technology equipment and infrastructure

Configure and test communications and technology devices

Confidence and ability to work safely at heights

Liaise with our customers in a friendly and professional manner

Conduct accurate and detailed job and project record keeping

Complete job risk assessments (Take5, SLAM, JRA, JSA etc) and conduct all work in a safe manner

About you:

A strong candidate for this role will have:

Familiarity and a desire to work within the QLD mining industry

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination including a drug and alcohol screen

A reliable, resourceful and logical nature, with a strong commitment to quality and safety

A current Queensland driver's licence

The ability to travel and stay in mine accommodation as required

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Be proficient in Windows operating systems and software

Digital Two-Way Radio Systems

Point to Point and Point to Multipoint Systems

Fleet Management Systems

Collision Avoidance Systems

Auto Electrical or similar Experience

Working Safety at Height Certificate

Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence

Coal Board Medical

Standard 11
