Operated by Healthscope, Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is located in Frenchs Forest, only 13kms north of Sydney CBD. The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds. Providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including Surgery, a 50 bed Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre and Outpatients.
NBH has 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms, all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards.

Our Mental Health Day Program have a full-time vacancy for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work alongside our Mental Health Team in coordinating administration support to the hospital's day patients in admissions and reception.
As a Mental Health Day Program Coordinator your responsibilities will include:
- Manage a busy reception desk
- Answer and redirect calls
- Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork
- Great and assist patients in signing admission paperwork
- Conduct follow up requests and make reminder calls for visits
- Perform a broad range of administration duties including:
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
- Perform Health Fund Checks
- Arrange and enter psychiatric certificates & health fund forms
- Manage patient list & clinics for mental health day programs
- Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
- Coordinate with staff medical staff and other departments
- Liase with billings department for
- Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
Selection Criteria:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Works well independently and within a team
- Work Monday - Friday
- Health fund knowledge
- Medical/mental health administration experience (preferrable not required)
- WebPas Hospital system experience (Desired)
